I saw the same hilarious question on many boards prior to the playoff selection: "Who did Alabama beat?"

Fortunately the committee was not as dense or limited. But the fact that the question was posed is devastating evidence of how far the sports fan intelligence level has slipped, in this era of fixation on strength of schedule.

Anyone questioning who Alabama beat needed to be seated in a corner and had his noggin tapped repeatedly by a doctor...searching for any signs of activity.
