13 Texas Players tested positive for Covid 19

Can you just give me a mod-friendly TLDR version?

Are we all just pretending that large swaths of players on CFB are going to test positive and cause forfeited games or season cancellations due to mandatory quarantine protocols?

General response on the board was : It will be fine and extremely isolated, they will find the positives quick and isolate them before it wipes out position groups or large portions of teams.

1 week later, 13 test positive on 1 team before CONTACT practices, SCHOOL and TRAVEL start. Weird.

Hopefully not

We can only see what happens. NBA is returning. I don’t see why NFL and CFB wouldn’t.
I just can’t see stadiums full of 75,000 to 100,000 people. In two months. I think we ***ked.

Which means they'll be ready to practice in 14 days? Or zero days as all are asymptomatic? If they all used the chicken pox protocol we'd be ready for kickoff.

Yes they'll all be back in 14 days. And students will be on campus soon, and they'll be on buses and airplanes. This frequency definitely won't increase with the increase in exposure. Derp.

Good! The sooner we let it run its course through healthy people the better no? The sooner healthy people are exposed and get over the sooner elderly and fatties can come out of hiding right?

Everyone is going to get it ..either by the natural way or via a vaccine. Most people will never knew they had it.

Soccer is back in Europe
Baseball is back in Asia
NBA will happen
College Football season will happen

Very few vaccines these days actually include a live virus. Most are inactivated/dead and I would suspect this one will be no different.

Thank god we locked down early in sofla.
The next few weeks should tell us a lot about this thing. Masks imo are helping a great deal.

It's possible there'll not be a vaccine for a long time.

The fastest manufactured vaccine -- for the
Mumps -- took four years.

There is hope for a therapy. They're already testing a drug that reduces mortality -- good results so far.

No reason that they can’t practice in an isolated fashion while going through quarantine. Unless exhibiting symptoms, I think most of them will at least be doing aerobic/anaerobic exercise to stay in game shape
