People are also complaining about what they can when we’re 5-0 with wins over teams who have beaten the likes of Texas, Alabama, and the gator on the road. And oh yeah there’s the win over ND as well.

Irvin said it best on the ACC Network post game. It’s hard to win games.
 
Was nice to see lofton and bauman get involved as well. Carson was dicing them up and could’ve done more had we not thrown in the towel early. He also throws a very catchable deep ball. Good arc.

And the best part is he wasn’t healthy in spring and will only continue to get better and get more chemistry with our guys

Tossed an absolute dime on the one that to Toney that he couldn’t hang onto that woulda been another 30+ yard play. Dropped it right in the basket but Toney couldn’t corral it over the shoulder.

I sort of agree, but then I ask "who should be instead?". The only guy I can think of is Moore at Oregon.

I don't think he's as good as Cam, but that may not be relevant. Cam's problem last year was the voters were in the mood to give it to a non-QB and that he played both sides of the ball made it even more attractive.

If Mali comes down with that ball and we don’t get a flag on the other td that Mali scored on, Beck would be top 3 Heisman right now and Mali would be on everybody’s short list as well.

Cam finishing fourth had less to do with Cam and more to do with 1) our trash defense, 2) the media’s obsession with Prime, 3) a player the likes of which we haven’t seen since Charles Woodson and 4) a RB that put up insane numbers. Most years, Cam wins the award. It’s not a great data point to whether Beck should be there.

I do agree there is much less competition for the award this year. But, Cam’s impact to the team and sport was much greater than Beck’s impact.

From a pure stats perspective, Beck is on track for 2,900 total yards and 28 total TDs. Cam had just shy of 2,000 total yards and 18 TDs through 5 games last year.

Quality of defense is different and some external factors (rain) have an impact on those stats but Beck has been more of a game manager than a generational player. And that’s not a knock on Beck, he’s done exactly what we’ve needed out of him. It just doesn’t scream Heisman to me.

Betting odds have him as the favorite, though. And I would obviously love to see him win it.
 
He’s done that against one of the toughest schedules in the nation so far also. From this point on the schedule gets dramatically easier so I expect him to put up Xbox numbers from here on out.
 
Receipts please for those that were worried about him throwing picks in this game. My counter was why are we acting like Catellanos protects the ball? Well well well
