#10 - Post PractiSe Interviews

These guys are going to straight pancake some trash lines this year. Coordinators across the Coastal got their game with us circled--they are not looking forward to the Canes as a match-up.

Rumph is always an excellent interview. Always gives it to you straight and leaves you understanding exactly where things stand.

Love to hear the bit about Bandy and how it starts with special teams now for the defensive players. Hopefully this improves our poor ST units from the last few years.

Rumph appears to be coming into his own as a coach now. Very confident. Seems like the Blades/Ivey competition isnt as close any many thought.

Really impressed with Zion. Seems very mature for a kid who should be a few months removed from high school. Cant hurt his progression going up against a future first rounder everyday in practiSe.

Incomprehensible that they misspelled practise in every single one of the video descriptions. Somebody needs to have a chat with the CanesAllAccess administrator.
It can be spelled either way, in the United States we spell it practice while in England they spell it practise

So I guess Mike Rumph is the only coach on the whole staff with a set depth chart? 🧐

I respect the fact that he’s trying to get his guys on the field more and improve their draft status.
Yeah that stuck out to me

Observations.

1. Jon Ford has a great disposition. Happy he is moving forward. Will wait to see production on the field before i yell MOAR.

2. Nelson seems very confident.

3. I like the mental challenge of learning what to do in the meeting room and having 30 minutes to show it on the practice field. This is consistent with Manny´s ideal of improving mental toughness. If you fail to do so, then there is discipline. Explains why Nkosi was throwing extra balls after practice??

4. How many times do you hear the word "compete" or "competing" in these interviews. It is awesome.

5. Rumph needs to be exalted for his work with the corners.

Yeah we were led to believe Ivey was the guy, this happens almost every year with these practise reports. Just goes to show our QB could really be any of the 3 at this point.

This GEM from TOS:

Nine true freshmen making a strong impression during fall camp

Christian Williams is the other defensive end that UM signed in 2019. He’s an underrated prospect that has an intriguing frame that will fill out in a college strength and conditioning program.

….seems like EVERYBODY is in an uproar trying to be the man
:puzzled:
