#10 Miami vs #25 Pitt Highlights 2003

Football was so much better to watch back then.

Players looked mean with those big pads, jerseys actually got dirty, QBs under center and teams ran different offenses.

Today, players look skinny, the field is super clean and it seems 99% of teams run a spread offense.

Yeah I know.....nostalgia.

They were a Brock Berlin, not seeing a WIDE open Kellen Winslow in the endzone against Tennessee from playing for the NC....We were a Good QB away from winning a NC??...Berlin was plenty good enough if Coker would've left him in the Shotgun....he was 5-0 against FSU and UF....and his 2nd half against UF in 03, is the best 2nd half performance by a UM QB in UM History.
Question has any other UM QB had a perfect winning record against UF and FSU?

Brock threw for 7,300yds and 42 TDs at UM...Not to friggin Shabby....No UM QB in our History ever went 5-0 against FSU and UF....Soooo very underrated and misused half his time here....and an outstanding kid.
Ha I just asked that and didn't even see this post first. That perfect record makes Brock a legend here

Great game.

Amazing to watch a Miami game and not see a mobile QB gash runs up the middle. Sacked 10 times.
Forgot how talented Geathers was, just could never find away to maximize using him.
Sikes scores on his late pick if Taylor doesn’t miss a block. Oh well. 99.99% perfect…
Jarrett Payton was underrated. Not elite like Edge-Portis-Najeh-Gore-Willis. But was pretty **** good. Had two big games vs FSU in 2003, IIRC.
Did Hester not play in the game? Wasn’t this his freshman year?

Wish we had gotten that OB rematch with Ohio State. No one cared about a UM-FSU rematch from the regular season.

The sad thing is in 03 that was a season I thought was a failure. A few plays away from another NC appearance. some dumb let-downs. Now it's one to remember.

I still watch the UF game when I need a pick-me-up.

The call on that 4th down against WVU was fantastic.

I remember that game like it was yesterday. Lots of disappointment as a canes fan since then lol...those were the good ole days for sure

Remember when Larry Fitzgerald and Pitt was stifled by Taylor, Mo Sikes, and Rolle all day long on a very cold night in November after Thanksgiving. I was at game and it was a beauty to watch. One of Miami's overall best performances all year against a pretty good Pitt team. Sean Taylor was the best safety ever at Miami including Ed Reed IMO. He had a great game!

Hopefully Miami rises up to win Sat on senior day. Go canes!

Nobody Loved SeanTay more than me...but to leave out Reed and Bennie Blades in a discussion as the best Safety in UM History is absurd....people forget how Great Bennie was...

What stands out about those highlights - man, can we tackle. Ball carriers were stopped at point of impact and our tacklers were physical. Doesn’t hurt we had a bunch of future pros but man, what a difference.
