If we didn't have Mario, I'd love to have Lanning lead this program. Young, smart, tenacious coach who wants to play physical football without gimmicks.

Assuming Cignetti would even want Florida. He can compete for titles every year without the pressure and bull**** in Gainesville. From what I’ve read it’s Lane Kiffins job if he wants it.

My understanding from the Gator boards was that Strickland will not give Kiffin an interview. Not even an appointment.

Elko was impressive at a basketball school and will be a problem at A$M while Lanning continues to underachieve imo

I don’t think he likes him at all, but I’ve read that Gator boosters are pushing this one. I think we will see soon enough. Hopefully they make a bad hire again

Watching games today, outside of OSU, no one except the Canes is close to being a complete team. I took my Canes googles off and watched these teams. Yes, many are good offensively and or defensively. But, none compare to the Canes. Some very good QB’s passing, Carson is as good or better, some running, but mostly as needed bc they lack a running game. Those with a good running game, lack our passing game. And, don’t have 3 monsters running at you. Defensively, no one in imho have our D. Indiana has a comparable one. But, overall we are better, and more violent. Just my opinion, for what it’s worth.
