90 in the third but still down 10 in the fourth and we went pass again. its what works and also we got a lot of run yards from cam which makes up the statsI’m pretty sure UM had over 80+ yards rushing in the 3rd. Dawson finally got a little creative and gave the defense different looks. Which is crazy, why wait to have a bad run performance to start calling the run game correctly?
I think it's been suggested here by people who would know that Ajay Allen is not good at pass protection. In a game where your OL is struggling with their Blitz, and the backs habe to pick up Blitzers, they may not have felt comfortable with him back there. JMOIn my humble opinion Martinez is a disappointment. He has verypoor vision as a RB. Where was Ajay Allen last night? Was he in the doghouse or our dummy OC just did not use him. I thought we missed an opportunity there to spark the team because he is electric like wJordan Lyle. As far as Martinez is concerned I would give him less and less snaps.
10000% especially with Mauigoa leading the way.We did run a reverse woth Johnson. Need to see more of it
The running "scheme" is complete dog****. The offense is better this year but we cant ever seem to just run a fully functional offense that fulky exploits a defense. It's ultimately on Mario one way or the other fix it.
Been saying this for a few years now all you have to do is change the back’s and name and the uniform number…agreed. its also obvious what the play is gonna be when 24 is in the backfield. need to start getting creative back there bc this run game without rivers get zero push and isnt a good run blocking line
In CF, 4.3 is bad. Should be over 5. I was hoping for over 6 which is his career average up until he ran in this offense. Regardless, we run well enough situationally, but man am I praying for some easy looks for these RBs against Cal.Well I need to change that. 4.3 isn’t bad but it’s average. We need to be running right off the back of francis
We must be looking at two different teams because the Miami running game is bad...don't look strictly at number because Lyle's 91-yard TD and garbage yards have skewed the #s badlyNothing wrong with the running game. We need to split up the carries a little more. More plays to the outside.
Yep, pretty obvious at this pointI saw the same tendencies with Gattis, I think it’s a Mario/Mirabal thing
BOTH GREAT SHOWS. USED TO BE BACK TO BACK ON THE CARTOON NETWORK.So people complaining we are now the Jetsons instead of the Flintstones?
I also think that our D has trouble with sweeps and outside runs, because we only practice against inside running v our offense. We are very susceptible on the outside ( see UF, TD called back in Va Tech, etc.The running "scheme" is complete dog****. Could it be that Martínez is better in pass pro?Martinez looks slow. Would’ve liked to see Allen

All this being said, Cam gives us a chance in every game, but I don’t think we are out- scheming or coaching anyone we play. Mario, like Ed O and Les Miles, etc just outrecruits them.
The real weakness of this team though is our Secondary, and I can’t believe Patterson, Stafford, etc are not better than Richard and Hill. If we are going to play 5 db’s on the field, we better have more talent back there.
Would love to see a reporter ask this question at a press conference.Formation wise are we diverse? I don’t rewatch games so for those that do can see if we predominantly run out of bunch/tight formations? Also seems we always run motion into the line on runs. High probability of me just thinking they is the case.
