#1 2026 WR Tristen Keys breaks down his Official Visit to Miami with CIS

Luckily we are, reportedly, the big dawg in bag game. If this kid is earnestly looking for a good offense, I like us against the aforementioned schools.

Side note. Those are two sentences I never expected to type on this site.

Seriously man. If you told me 4, 5, 10 years ago that we’d be uttering those two sentences, I would have thought you were insane.

There is a key difference from the Jeremiah Smith saga- when Keys talks about the Canes, he is quick to point out they had the #1 offense last year. This comes up a lot with him and his camp.

With Jeremiah, I think he was looking for an on-field reason to pick Miami and we never gave him one.
D I say we get CJ Bailey to be our qb next season and maybe JS comes home for one season. What do you think?

Hence why we all said all off-season last year how critical it was for us to have a good season and be very good on offense. The Mario narrative was really prevalent. It was imperative we killed that. Well, I don’t see a **** thing about Mario the QB killer or the caveman offense or Mario killing skill players. It was so **** important to be good on offense last year for this exact reason. We’ve got everything else to sell. Now we have a #1 offense in school history in our playbook.

Not sure how much the Adidas deal plays a factor??
Ya'll truly overrate some of the most insignificant crap. These kids are about MONEY, period as they should be because this is a business. These aren't fans just showing up to play for three years, they want the best opportunity to maximize their earnings.

Never mind the fact that if a player wants to have an outside apparel deal, they can do that now. There are kids that have deals with companies like Under Armour(Cavinder Twins), while playing at an Adidas school. If Jeremiah Smith signed a deal with Adidas tomorrow, I doubt Ohio State would give a ****.

You are probably correct, but in basketball, the shoe companies, starting in middle school with their respective AAU leagues, most definitely try to push kids to schools with which they have apparel contracts.

I don’t think the issue is as important in football, but in the world of recruiting, the shoe companies do like the players they pay to end up at their schools.

Basketball is different because of grassroots basketball and their ties to the sneaker companies, that isn't the case in football. HS football is still the end all be all, the 7 v 7 circuit is important, but what you do on Friday nights matters more. You can not play a single minute of HS basketball, play all summer on the AAU circuit and still be a highly touted recruit.

Shoe companies may want to direct kids, but they can also still sign them to deals now, if a kid wants to go to a different school. HVL was at a Nike school the last two years, she was STILL an Adidas athlete. Kids have a lot more leverage now, if they really want to go somewhere, they can, and there's little anyone can do about it.

This is not a girl bruh this recruiting lol

Two completely different things. That analogy stupid asf
Its only stupid asf to you because it kills your point....It aint your girl and the kid aint committed to your school.

Both scenarios neither belong to you and committed elsewhere

you noticing no one is uppin your posts about this? He's a target and we are trying, that means its a miss bruh. Like am I going crazy here? If Mario scratches him off his big board that's a miss, he's on his board and they have to cross his name off. This isn't the NFL d raft where the guy is taken already, he isn't taken.

Let’s just hope our offense doesn’t fall off this year. I know, that can’t possibly happen

I don't care about upping post. I care about facts. He is a committed player to another school who is a flip candidate...that isn't a loss because he is not UNCOMMITTED!!!

We can go after him all we want but if he sticks to his commitment….what did we lose? A player that was never ours? A player that used us to up the bag?

Sorry I don't buy into the notion that flip candidates are losses.

So if we flip him them we lose him only then he's a loss? Only then he's a loss?

Then agree to disagree, but imo if Mario says "hey guys we couldn't flip him cross him off the board" I am pretty sure to them its a loss. To the fan maybe its not a loss, to me if you target someone and put every ounce of effort and have to replace them with some BS its a loss IMO. So agree to disagree.....fair I guess. I think to you its not a loss and to me it is, so if someone says it isn't or is a loss it depends who we asking. Fair? Also no one is ever ours till they sign even if committed but I would say we still lost him
