I see this as the creation of unity amongst future recruits. Aside from Annis I don’t believe any of these guys have committed to UM. I assume they all have commitable offers to even be included in the group. and yet it seems as though UM is trying to get them to see each other as part of something unified such that when the time comes to commit, they have a collective mentality towards each other. Part of something bigger than themselves.
If this works it is truly an exercise in sociology (which, BTW, I took at UM).
