Coming up against Vandy. Vandy isn't very good and has an abominable offense. But their defense is actually very good this year. It'll be a big and underrated test for Herman this week.

Im starting to like Fuente more in this matchup of non power 5 up and comers.

-Has won 10 games(going for twice)
-Has won a bowl game
- Beat a good SEC team semi-handily
 
Curious to see how Herman's fast-paced offense does against Vandy's 22nd-ranked total defense. They held Pinkel's Missouri squad to just 3 points last week and Derek Mason's a well-respected defensive coach, so it'll be an interesting challenge for them.

Vandy crushed Georgia's infinitely more talented offense this year too. I'm not sure Georgia's QB completed a pass in that game.

Very legit defense. That D only gave up 17 points and 141 passing yards against Georgia, but Chubb went nuts as he did against everybody before his season-ending injury. UGA had a punt return TD and pick-six in that game.
 
Houston's up 20-0 at the half. Been checking on my phone to see how they've been doing tonight during the Miami game. Their defense has intercepted two passes and returned them into the red zone. Houston capitalized on those takeaways with touchdowns. Their offense sustained two other drives that resulted in field goals.

So far so great. Herman's about to match their win total from the previous two seasons by the end of October.

Who doesn't like Butch? I'd be celebrating along with everyone else if he's the hire.

But the people who refuse to acknowledge Herman as a stud candidate and act as if Butch is the only man capable of achieving greatness at Miami are off their rockers. Herman is a great candidate too.
 
The thing that worries me about Butch is that at North Carolina the best he could do was 8-5 even with a bunch of NFL draft picks.

I would be all in on Herman as head coach. Is offense with South Florida talent would be unstoppable. And I like Todd Orlando as the defense of Cordinator as well.

i like herman hes way down number two on my list but my thing is will he lock down sfla, can he go into living rooms and beat our fisher n saban. if he cant he wont win imo, my thing is if u cant lock sfla up u wont win. u gotta come in here and get the best players cuz guys like cook can beat teams with good coaches, jimbo isnt a genius hes just ripping the trail n its y hes won a title. miami is a different animal we r fighting off the best recruiters down here, he wont be going into living rooms vs aac coaches. thats my thing i dont want that risk, ill take him yes but they gotta go for butch first period. butch has no question marks, butchs teams win without qbs like saban. dorsey was good here but alot of his **** was masked by a beast squad like aj mcaron. if u can win without a qb that means ur team is super dominant on the fronts. if we got herman i would be happy but imma wait. see with n e one

This man is who we should hire. Period. He has every mark of the kind of up and coming soon to explode coach.
