In all seriousness, how do you prepare for the way couch played tonight? Or Smith on 4th and 6....???
 
We all know Baker must go. He cant intelligently gameplan but opposing teams are always ready for us, cant call plays and cant make adjustments. Not sure what he's good other than being a yes man to Diaz.

T felt like the first quarter was bakers defense and the rest of the game was more of manny's style. It was night and day. First quarter mostly zone no aggression. The rest of the game was man d and aggressive. If we didn't have the turnovers in our territory they don't get close to the 16 they had after the 1st quarter. Why start the game one way only to completely change?

Multiple times on the first few drives there were multiple players from OSU pointing out the blitz from Canes. They knew exactly what was coming. Wouldn’t be surprised if Diaz started calling plays when King went down

First quarter I was pointing out presnap who would get the ball thrown to them based on formation. There were slot guys-80 in particular that were lining up with 12 yard cushions.
 
Manny says all the time they put the defensive game plan together as a group. true? who knows. But it likely isn't all Baker's decisions.

They should have adjusted sooner than the end of the first quarter.

Of course! Didn’t you read Manny’s presser leading up to the bowl game, where he not only showed his cards that he was preparing the D against the run, but also tipped off OS to come out throwing? Oh, it showed, big time. Manny’s no chess player. He plays kindergarten checker set.
 
While I agree, the players and coaches stepped up after that. Sure, it wasn't perfect afterwards, but respect for the rest of the game as I thought we were in for a drubbing.

It's his defense but baker calls it way different. The only game I remember us playing as much zone with many was against clemson in the ACC championship. There can be calls in the playbook but baker uses zone with less aggression than manny did

Every team does this.

The offense works on the final game plan together and the defensive staff does the same. The head coach sits in with both units. They will all meet together beforehand to see what each side is seeing as the offensive coaches sometimes come up with ideas to help the defense and visa versa.

It's easy when a safety or striker is playing that far off. It's ok to do it in certain circumstances but we do it way too much
