“Idle Teams Can Move”

Have you watched our own games? Holding penalties and pass interference calls at the right moment can kill momentum and change a game.

So an agreement between the league office and the officiating crew ensures the desired result.

The coaches and the school administrators are completely in the dark

As Stewart Mandel mentioned the TCU and Baylor 2014 precedent is our best shot. Despite losing the head to head all the metrics favored TCU and they kept them in front of Baylor despite losing the head to head every ranking UNTIL the final one. This was even after TCU won their final game 52-6. Both were idle championship weekend.

Strength of Record (SOR) — ESPN
  • TCU: #4
  • Baylor: #5
Strength of Schedule (SOS)
ESPN FPI:
  • TCU: #37
  • Baylor: #55
Sagarin:
  • TCU: #34
  • Baylor: #54
When push came to shove final weekend Head to Head won the day.

If the betting markets didn’t tell me otherwise I’d say if BYU loses and Bama wins were in when we’re finally lined up and compared right next to ND. But if it’s this obvious why does Vegas say we’re f*cked?!

no idea why any of you are doing this mental gymnastics. Miami has been out since that pathetic SMU game. Losses don't matter to the SEC and BIG10, this is their invitational. Losses only matter to everyone else. I mean, the AP ranks half the conference every week. Canes are cooked again. Cant wait to watch that 80th ranked offense of Oklahoma

I’d bet more if I could. It’s been a rough month with vet bills for my dogs. But I almost never gamble. I truly believe we will be in.

I think every intelligent observer can see:

Bama will likely lose the SEC Championship game. BYU will lose.

and the idiots at the CFP will simply now be able to drop BAMA one spot BEHIND NOTRE DAME

AND STILL IN FRONT OF MIAMI.

Keeping the "head to head" a dead issue.
It's also why he made such a big deal about the "heated debate all cycle regarding Bama and ND" Setting it up to just drop them back to where they have been when they lose....
