Good point taken, thank God for second chances I was given a few and capitalized on them.
I’m giving one to CMD he served us well on D he has good intentions and many players took advantage of a kind heart.
He knows it’s game time now for him and will perform.

I get your point makes sense , with second chances there will be no regrets .

I want the best for CMD , just shocking of the hatred for him name calling.

When he wins and I hope he does the ferocity of name calling will to to support, I guess we’re like Philadelphia fans HATE yet SUPPORTING weird mixer.

Oh yea, I’ve also taken advantage of second chances. Third chances, too.

I do tho think it’s perfectly reasonable for manny to get the hate he does....

In someways it’s because of his predecessors. We’ve had a string of bad coaches here. For two decades. So when manny starts out Midway thru year 1 even worse than any of those guys did, the “here we go again” vibe kicks right in. And surely enough, there we went again.

Throw in a couple inexcusable losses, including the single most embarrassing loss in program history (to a crosstown school, no less) and you’ve got a fanbase that isn’t wrong to not want to see anymore.....if manny can’t beat fiu with the talent level he has, than who can he beat?

Now consider his handling of the offense. He promised one thing and gave us the exact opposite. And in doing so, he took a historically bad UM offense and somehow made it worse. By not forcing some change when it became obvious the status quo wasn’t working, the fan base just saw a continuation of golden and richt. No thank you.

In some ways manny also brought this on himself. Touchdown chain, touchdown rings, big talk, crashing a rivals meeting, Showing up in a yacht. He came in here and set the expectation that this team would be something that he just couldn’t deliver on. It’d be one thing If manny at the outset tempered expectations and then fell flat on his face. Instead what he did made the fall even harder.

Now consider the fact that this loud, obnoxious, angry know it all of a fan base, whose been hammering coaches for 2 decades.... has been right. Every. Single. Time. Whether we’re talking about Goldens D, Richts O, assistant coaches, etc. Those hate spewing fans have been right every time, calling outcomes years in advance. The “boot lickers”, who so self righteously lecture the rest of the fan base on their behavior, and blame results on players, or NCAA or whatever else... have been wrong. Every. Single. Time.

**** I can’t believe I just typed that much .

Canes fans have no patience for anything besides an unbeaten national championship season. That was particularly true in the '90s after being spoiled annually for more than a decade. I attended Butch Davis' first game as head coach, the 31-8 drubbing at UCLA in early September 1995. Miami was 3 point favorite. Nearby Canes fans at that game were stunned. Butch Davis' benefit of a doubt was gone within 30 minutes. It was only 3-0 at halftime then totally non competitive in the second half. We couldn't stop Abdul-Jabbar at all.

I distinctly remember all the cursing at Davis during the second half. Then once I returned to Las Vegas it was nothing but the same from fellow Canes fans. I was shopping for NFL numbers the next morning. The Canes had a huge national following in that era. Lovers and haters. Many Canes fans came up to me that Sunday in frothing disbelief at how non competitive Miami had been. "Are we stuck with this guy?" That was the theme.

If the internet had been full blast in that era the savagery would have been unleashed long before the final whistle in that UCLA game, and basically not stopped for years. By 1997 Florida State it would have been far beyond anything we have seen in recent years.

I agree that the internet wouldn’t have helped butch, but you shouldn’t be so harsh as you have the worst takes of anyone on this board.

Harry Rothwell who was or is the store GM is a very strong supporter of Blake & Manny and defends them to no end on twitter. Apparently he's also a fan of Lon the Grateful too lol

I like Chris but he has an agenda towards the fans. He uses words such as entitled instead of demand. If Miami had a bigger fan base then Miami fans would be viewed differently. Red Sox and Yankee fans demand a good product or championships and are considered good fans.

Harry is a major *** kisser so he will defend any staff to the bitter end. Hence, why I don’t buy from Allcanes any longer.

Those clowns shilled for every failure for the last 17 years. Their shilling during the obvious ends of the Randy and Fat Al eras was **** to read.

Never had any issues with Bello but he does come off a little angry at the fans. I did see on twitter last night that he's ready for Manny to be out so thats interesting.

Harry is another story. Never found him to be pleasant to deal with in the store. Not very customer service friendly unless you were someone he knew on a reg basis and his constant shilling for coaching staffs was a turnoff. The guys in Davie at Caneswear have been a breath of fresh air.
