Thought I would share a little info. ITU has reported that Coach Kool has made contact with DE/DT prospect Malik Vann

Plays football for FairField High school, reportedly 6’2 1/2 270 Lbs, and is currently commited to the University of Cincinnati

Low center...3 tech prospect.

Good pairing with a 1 tech like Nesta. Got to be able to steal him if we want. Probably like 20 pounds away from being able to play here. Im guessing would use similar to Bethel.

If we're still looking for additional DT's to flip I hope we offer Davontae McCrae from MNW & Aaron Morgan from CC.

They're good enough to play here & two local kids who would absolutely wanna play for us if we were interested.

Especially McCrae, he wanted an offer bad back in March.

i like Mccrae. Dont see how they could watch Hawkins at Chaminade because he is a superior player.

I like this kid a lot.

High motor guy who beats double teams, very athletic, and he use his hands well. I have no idea why he committed to Cincy and why bigger schools aren’t chasing this kid. He looks like a natural, nasty 3 tech...I hope they offer him

this kid looks legit

2018 DT Malik Vann's senior year mid season highlights below look good. He will have to move inside in college to play the 3 Tech spot and gain about 30lbs. He looks to be about 250lbs and 6ft or so. Which definitely means a redshirt year for him, and he would be on a similar path as Pat Bethel. I like that Coach Kool is kicking the tires on other recruits around the country. But Miami will need an infusion of war daddy trench bully types (Trevor Trout, Nesta Silvera, Calvin Avery, etc) for the 2018 class not development kids (even though Vann appears to have a high ceiling).
