    Tyrique Stevenson Visits Miami... Again

Iirc, someone on Golden's staff did that on UF and it didn't exactly go over well. Because it eventually made its way back to the source.

Being a snitch in CFB doesn't pay off. You essentially ruin a kid's career before it even begins, then others are turned off by said person that snitched in the first place.

Campbell isn't even in the 2-deep at Georgia right now. Bet he's playing special teams this season. Some of you guys are hilarious.

    Tyrique Stevenson Visits Miami... Again

So.....no player worth a **** ever played special teams at Miami? Asking for a friend.

Telling freshmen that are already enrolled what you just cited has nothing to do with recruiting.

It's more the school boosters that have helped. Yes, there's this wide varying definition of boosters (ie you pay for season tickets, then you're considered a booster). But I'm talking about the well connected types that have thousands to give away a year. Those are the ones in play at UGA...

I believe it's because of Jack Daniels, whom is a gator alumnus and a huge Urban Meyer supporter. But it's always been like that. Besides, Dwyer hasn't been **** for the last few years, so I'm fine with that.

    Tyrique Stevenson Visits Miami... Again

I'm talking about the excuse that Golden burned bridges at certain schools. What schools are we having issues recruiting at? I'm all ears.

    Tyrique Stevenson Visits Miami... Again

I'm going to respectfully disagree. Especially on the Heritage part considering that the HC there while Golden was the HC at Miami is now a position coach on the staff.

The Golden excuse as it relates to this cycle is long gone. Richt posted 9 and 10-win seasons respectively since he's been back. This is Richt's 3rd year. Local schools know that Al Golden isn't at Miami anymore.

They're a machine on the trail mainly because they have recruiters and bags. People put way too much of an emphasis on Georgia being in the national title game. Do you know how many coaches have come from the Saban tree? Kirby isn't the only one. None of them are coming close to the recruiting...

    Tyrique Stevenson Visits Miami... Again

He goes again this year and/or next year, he gets all of the credit in the world from me. Because now the roster is a majority of his players.

    Tyrique Stevenson Visits Miami... Again

They had the #3 ranked recruiting class coming off an 8-win season. How come other schools that make it to the national title game don't experience a surge in recruiting like UGA has?

    Tyrique Stevenson Visits Miami... Again

Yup. Although, I think people need to be careful of what they wish for. From my perception (and it's certainly not entirely accurate), Cristobal screams recruiter and wanting to play the bag game. But he strikes me as someone who's not a great gameday coach. I'm actually thrilled that he's at...

So why aren't all of these other programs held to the same standard? That's what I keep waiting for. Yet I don't get a clear answer. Also, given our last decade, I would absolutely take the season we had last year.

TC would've went there had they gone 8-4. People need to stop using winning as the only excuse. Miami could go 12-0, win a natty and we'll lose out on a kid here and there. Posters would then come out and say we need to do that consistently in back-to-back years (something that we've never done).

    Tyrique Stevenson Visits Miami... Again

Miami had a 10-win season (would've been 11 for Arky St.) and went to the Orange Bowl. There's not a lot of schools that consistently do that. Again, why is Miami seemingly the only school that's held to this winning at a high-level standard?

    Tyrique Stevenson Visits Miami... Again

It's certainly possible. But not all kids are the same.

    Tyrique Stevenson Visits Miami... Again

Eh, I'm not sure about that. Bama is the most talented team in the nation. But UGA had always recruited in the top 10. Remember, Kirby took over for Richt whom still recruited at a high level. The talent level may have favored Bama, but it's not by a wide margin which the context of your post...

    Tyrique Stevenson Visits Miami... Again

It seemed he ran a similar offense to what Richt was trying to implement there. At UGA, he always put a heavy emphasis on the run. Problem for him was that a key points in the season, Sony or Chubb would go down with an injury. Kirby also got lucky that Fromm turned out to be a decent QB when...
