Yeah, but we really made no clear commitment to it. At that point Coker was just rearranging chairs on the Titanic

I just remember when Brock first committed to Florida, literally ever highlight was him in the 'gun, I'd bet he rarely took snaps from under center. But UM was so wed to being 'pro-style' and 'NFL U' they kept pounding square pegs into round holes(for about 15 years, lol)

Lu, after that Louisville game, I thought we - and Jarren Williams-- had turned the corner, I really did. Im thinking, "Ok, it's not the record I wanted, but we got this thing going in the right direction, lets win this games(which were very winnable) and get to recruiting." And then we lay...

And people think coaching/leadership doesn't matter - or that it's just about X-and-O's. Coker was that substitute teacher, who got REAL lucky. People who kept harping on 53-9 never truly grasped that a better coach in that era would've had half the losses, and many more dominant wins. Say...

if you look at that play, Quadtrine Hill was wide open in the flat, could've gotten it to at least the 15 yard line. Terrible decision by Wright, his career was never the same..

in all fairness, he did make some plays at WR in Chicago and later Atlanta. And one day he'll be in Canton, IMO

I was at that debacle, what a boring game with an awful ending. But at least in 2003, they were able to rebound and find a way to win the rest of their games, go to the Orange Bowl, beat FSU for the second time that season, and finish in the top five.

that year, we started Crudup vs a terrible Cuse team at home -- and barely won. It was an absolute abomination. LOL, the way I used to rip Chud on Canestime, yeah, good times...

Orlando, how that offensive staff didnt realize after that Florida comeback that Berlin was a shotgun spread QB, and kept trying to play that pro-style, mostly under center, was criminal. Honestly, both he and Kenny Kelly, were not great fits for the Coker-Chud style And the thing is, thats...

Had a decent run of play during that winning streak in 2005. But not a real difference maker, ended up transferring to Memphis for his last season. The big RB recruit his year was really Bobby Washington, IIRC, who never got to Coral Gables

word is that this was very personal situation involving Shannon, more than a few people have told me that. Does anyone in their right mind believe that Glenn Cook should've been on the field more than him?

you go back to that year, and Willie flashed here and there, there are still questions to this day how Shannon handled his PT

I know they had that magical 2017 run, where they were #2 in the country, but that was smoke and mirror to a certain degree. But somehow this video came up on my Youtube feed last night and I watched it. ( I remember actually ordering this game on the ESPN Game Plan PPV, lol, remember that?)...
