I see Virginia added a big transfer in Ohio's Ben Vander Plas. 6'8 230 Forward who averaged 14.3, with 7 boards.
Also, Caleb Love returning to UNC. They lose only Manek.
Gak has been discussed already. But, I wonder if any other player(s) on our current roster might contemplate the Portal -- should it suddenly look like their PT might decrease or dry up.
Agree. Manu, once he settled in, played well.
Malcolm Grant was a bit of a disappointment but ... he had personal (family?) issues IIRC. Bishop Daniels another one. But, OP's point is more than vaild! Guards thrive.
I think you're right. And, it's not like the staff here was holding him back. He was injured and then when he got PT, he just didn't make the most of it. I'm still wondering how a 4 star from a vaunted HS program like DeMatha ends up at Bryant!
Assuming Timberlake didn't have a great experience at UM, wonder if that would have any influence on his former DeMatha teammate Young. That DeMatha team was loaded with Hunter ****inson (Michigan) and Justin Moore (Villanova) also there.
Is Beverly really even a PG?? Don't think so; a "combo." Even if he can be a Point, he and Joseph aren't up to what we need, at least not based on what we've seen.
.
Maybe due to the recent success, Coach L is enamored of, and wants to keep, the 5 Out offense. That, plus maybe he doesn't really see any good bigs out there willing to come to Coral Gables.
I know St. Peter's had a phenomenal tourney but ... that's like saying we would want to take half of FIU's roster if they were available. Seton Hall recruiting is generally several cuts above what the Peacocks can recruit.
