I suspect Muss may want Toney to swing down low and play closer to the basket. At 6'6, he is a very strong rebounder. I read somewhere though that Toney's future in the pro ranks is at Guard, meaning he may or may not be amenable to a position change.

Based on this past season, the SEC is superior to the ACC in hoops. Only reason I'm expecting Lykes to put up inferior numbers at Ark is that his PT will likely be half what it would have been at UM.

If it's all about a one-year "showcase" of your skills, I'm not sure how that comes into play. He'd be a guaranteed starter for UM this coming season, maybe the 4th guard at Arkansas. How does that help set you up for the professional ranks, overseas or in this country?

Exactly why a program like UM was a great choice out of HS for a player like Chris to get the opportunity to shine. Where you have a bunch of NBA prospects (the "blue blood" schools), not so much.

Chris makes it sound like he was prevented from being a PG here. I call BS. Had L "suggested" that to Chris a few years ago, Chris would likely have transferred then and there. He liked taking those 3's waay too much!

I'm with the camp here who thinks, at this point, that's an excuse that no longer plays (if it ever did, after the immediate impact).

I second that question. Cross and Lykes really never played together so how could there have been friction? You talking something off the court? As for Cross, I know he was a true freshman and therefore likely felt he had to show deference to the upperclassmen on the team but ... I think...

Good comparison. Earl seemed to me to be a lot stronger physically, and with his ball handling, than Chris has shown to date. Also Earl was a very good assist man, whereas Chris has always seemed to be "shoot first." Obviously, both have/had big defensive limitations.

Agree with your pro ball evaluation. As for leading a college team in scoring, he is more than capable of that.

"Running an offense." He's not a PG. Never has been, probably never will be. People see his height and automatically think PG. Not always the case, as we've seen here at UM.
