    Jon Rothstein 2020-21 Predictions

Think he's already a better outside shooter than Newton. And, very likely to improve (maybe alot) on what we've seen thus far.

    Jon Rothstein 2020-21 Predictions

My issue with Sam starting (as projected in HubSpot's post above) had more to do with the 3 point rationale. I mean, I guess a case could be made that he should perhaps start because of his size (and hopefully improved inside play).

    Jon Rothstein 2020-21 Predictions

Sam can't be chosen as a starter on the basis of 3 point shooting. He shot 13-52 (25%) in all games last season, and an even more horrible 7-35 (20%) in ACC games. And that was with DJ getting most of the opponent's 3 pt defense directed at him. If Sam were the player the defense focused on, I'd...

    Jon Rothstein 2020-21 Predictions

I'm hoping Brooks will prove a bit better than Reggie. I mean, Reggie could score 20+ on a given night and then the next two games give you low single digits. He was a nice space eater who did give us 7 rpg but couldn't elevate or handle quick, athletic bigs all that well.

Assuming Timberlake signs with us, I'd be shocked if he isn't in the starting lineup next Fall. Even with Coach L's well known "loyalty" to upperclassmen. The disparity in talent is just too great to ignore..

    Jon Rothstein 2020-21 Predictions

Agree that projected lineup is flawed. I do think Brooks is an automatic starter up front, and Lykes and McGusty starting jobs are secure as well. I think Timberlake starts at the 3; it's his job to play himself out of in practices/early season games. I think, like you, Wong should come off...

    Jon Rothstein 2020-21 Predictions

Canes go into season ranked #30 in the nation with a starting lineup of: PG - Chris Lykes W - Kam McGusty W - Isaiah Wong SF - Earl Timberlake C - Nysier Brooks Bench: Beverly, Cross, Miller, Walker, and Waardenburg Top 6 ACC Teams (still looks like another sorta down year for the ACC): 1...
