Definitely - Knighton's 6 fumbles lost to Walton's 3 is a big difference Also - Walton had A LOT more chances & did a better job beating up on G5 & FCS schools. That's where Walton really earned his rep. Example - Knighton averaged 6.6 ypc in his first game vs UAB. He hasn't averaged over 6...

Walton & Knighton are scary similar. The sample size is Walton 22 games (14-8 record) Knighton 20 games (13-7 record) On a bad note - There's 21 Miami RB's since 2001 to have 100+ P5 carries. The only ones who averaged under 4.0 ypc are Walton, Knighton, and Charlie Jones. Being behind...

But ironically - Walton & Knighton numbers vs P5 teams are exactly the same. Perception vs Reality. Your analogy is kind of like saying "Baker Mayfield isn't Tom brady, but he's a starting NFL QB". Well yes, but you're ignoring the Tiers in-between. Baker isn't even a Tier below Brady - like...

All good man. You're exactly right - Walton frustrated me the same way Knighton does now. There's a ton of parallels. They're both solid all around RB's. Difference is Knighton has 100 less carries vs G5 & FCS teams than Walton did - and I think those games really skewed people's perception...

Why those 3 P5 games canceled out the 16 P5 games where he ran for 3.5 ypc or less remains a mystery I mean 3 vs 16. Sure...why the **** not

    Walton definitely crushed it: College vs P5 - 3.8 ypc 2018 Pre-Season- 1.0 ypc 2018 Season - 2.4 ypc 2019 Pre-Season - 2.3 ypc 2019 Season - 3.8 ypc Anytime he gots a chance against a team with a pulse - he was bad. BUT....Perception > Reality 9 times out of 10.

Walton did beg to get put back in so he could get 200 yds. But he also got a carry on all 4 drives in the 4th quarter, so he played the entire game. Walton might've been a little hobbled. Bigger factor was - He just wasn't good. That's why he had a bad game vs Duke & FSU. He was always bad...

Might be how it was remembered - but that isn't how it happened. Toledo - Walton was hurt SO BAD that Richt continued to play him until 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter in a blowout. No x-rays after the game, no missed practice, all reports were he was 100% going into the next game vs Duke...

    It's almost impossible to find...

Walton's career numbers are almost exactly the same as Knighton's - except for Walton's 3 lost fumbles vs Knighton's 6. Which is to say, very bad. Richt got saved from himself when Walton got hurt. Those carries went to Homer & Dallas instead of force feeding Walton.

    It's almost impossible to find...

Knighton's a career 3.9 ypc. Take away his fumbles & just on production alone he's almost unplayable. Do you think Chaney wouldn't be better than that? I get not buying into the hype around Chaney, and I agree with you, but if he were just average it would be a big step up. In therms of just...

Don't underestimate what going from Cam & Chaney to Knighton & Parrish at RB has meant. We have 1 run over 25 yds in our last 11 games. And it was 26 yds. Against Bethune-Cookman. By Thad. Explosive run plays have completely disappeared since Cam got hurt.
