Donaldson arrived at Miami 370 plus. Rivers is 6’6 325-331 right now. The lineman uga just got from Florida is 6’6 360 and they plan on playing him at tackle too

He’s taller than both of Dumervil and walker , he has “ideal” length at tackle imo at a verified 6’6. But that’s not the end all be all if a guy can play tackle. Yeah Donaldson has much more bad weight than rivers has that’s for sure . Donaldson May have been a better athlete(we have seen him running routes on 7 on 7) but he doesn’t have the feet and laterally quickness that rivers has imo to play at tackle . At the least imo rivers is a right tackle...

Steve Wiltfong had some pretty positive comments about rivers this morning from the opening about him having power but with also good feet that allows him to move well laterally. Thinks he can compete right away . Seems like he likes him at tackle too

How is anybody taking that as a shot about rivers committing to Miami? Y’all know that’s his god brother right? He’s congratulating him nothing more and nothing less

He’s a tackle for me all day with a chance at being a solid Left tackle. On our current roster who is currently more equipped to play tackle than him in terms of having all of the measurements and necessary bend ability? Herbert, Campbell , Nelson etc? I’d take rivers over them at tackle.

Definitely a chance imo, he’s a powerful lineman so he suits very well for guard but I think he definitely can play tackle especially on the right side.
