Men are the most dangerous. By multiples. After being stalked three days and three nights - killed a tiger at around 1:00 to 2:00 AM. 5% skill, 95% luck. He must have been hungry to stay on us that long, and had gotten a taste for men somewhere along the line. I'd think about that later at...

That's cool. Maybe after the next major storm, I should plan on taking a walk or two . . .

I would think it would be an amulet - could have been a Central American - could have been a native, though I doubt it - or could have even been a Spaniard or a Priest - just no telling. And not one of us suggested we dig and find out. You dig out there - some strange things happen.

IF . . . you wanted to sell it. I find myself keeping things that are special to me - and they're just not for sale. I acquired a special knife - and used it "enthusiastically" once. Alone, at night, I'd pull it out, and the unique shape enabled me to gently stroke the backside which had...

The natives really didn't care for gold - had no real use for it - and in a harsh land - had no desire to pursue it. If you can imagine a huge, flat valley with no water anywhere nearby - and you were traversing it for whatever reason - anyone that got injured or sick - they were in trouble...

I didn't know that! I've cut myself a few times on obsidian - crawling around - but I had no idea that all those could be found in limestone!

What surprises me - is that many of the items in your collection - originated - or at least the stones - originated long distances away from Florida. There must have been quite a trade operation going. I see what looks like quartzite, flint, obsidian, chert, agate - WOW! And a MEG tooth!

This was the most God-forsaken, isolated place imaginable. Took forever driving - AND a good hike - and all around was nothing but 107 degree sun-burned desert. So it wasn't actually a burial ground - it was where this one was buried.

Yeah. Giant PEOPLE. Some skeletons were as tall as 24-26 feet. Many just over 7-8 feet tall, some 12' plus - and those found and wiped out at Lovelock Cave were red-haired, and cannibals at that. The Paiute got tired of them and gathered together and wiped them out. That's just ONE set...

With a couple guys in Nevada doing some exploring - and one said he found a site where there was gold - and on a whim we went to the site - a really good half-day drive. Got out in the middle of nowhere - and these guys used their equipment - and sure enough - it was all indicating gold below...

That isn't the only massive sword that's been found. There's a good number of swords a typical man would have trouble carrying - much less swinging. I live here, but I'd say you know more about parts of this area than I do! As a boy, found a good sized mound in Shalimar near the water. It's...

Ho Li Crap! I already liked you already - but that's a wrap! Damm! Years ago, I found a little stone statue in Destin, Florida right on the bay side of the waterline - and a girl talked me out of it. Large oyster pits and pottery shards - and all I can figure is someone had to bring that...

I don't know - but I can make a wild-a**ed-guess (WAG). In higher altitudes, it's cooler and drier air. If one can get things cool - those things won't rot - they're refrigerated. And the higher the altitude - the less moisture the air can hold - and in areas of elevated elevation - all the...

All geology is defined by catastrophe. The lines such as the CT line - are due to a catastrophic event - mass extinctions. Cambrian? Ended in catastrophy. Every single one. When fish die - they float. Or sink - only to be consumed. Yet we have entire shoals of fish perfectly preserved in...
