I agree roster fillers projects are more important then 4 and 5* because they make up most of your roster! That's where bama, osu, ug, clemson kill you there backups are 4 n 5* ours 2 and 3* reaches!!

I agree with your list! But golden was top heavy his gambles were horrible evals place holders, scholly fillers or numbers evals! Diaz is top heavy but well rounded and no more reaches like pierre, blue, lewis jr or yearby or shirrefs, dykstra, milo, baxa, feagles, aj highsmith.....etc!!

We just got back to recruiting the trenches like we should. when richt n diaz got here! and, turned what golden left us into what were known for now de-u! But when golden got here we couldn't recruit nationally because of sanctions and we sucked that's why he did that i believe.

Even if true, it can be determined because diaz got here 16 or 17? That means he at least has 1 or 2 classes that has came and went plus people leaving early like rj, norton, joe jack, garvin, gr15, jp, bandy, or transfer patchan, joyner, williams, etc!!

I agree if golden did that coupled with the offenses he had back then. Well hindsight is 20/20. Don't think he would still be here but things may be slightly different.

I think that's the problem we had with golden he from penn or the northeast! That type of ball or thinking don't work in sfl! But, were a victim of our own success what worked in 80, 90, and 2000's don't work now if we go small and fast against bama in the trenches its gonna be unc all over again!

Yeah u on point with that! But, a lot of factors in those days! Probation, culture was doo doo, recruiting and evaluations was horrible under shannon except 08! When we took 7wr and 8 lb's that was half the class on 2 position groups let alone shirrefs and rosier, and we switched from 4-3- 3-4...

Oh i agree! Production has to be there i think we had to trot out mccloud n jennings because they knew da scheme better. Coaches thought the front 4 (dt)would be better then they were so that made da backers a liability because they lack athletic ability n speed that the pups have but this year...

I don't necessarily agree about evaluations being better. because if that was the case why was they trying fattening everybody up instead of recruit what they need. Example chick when they switched to a 3-4? We didnt have personnel for a 3-4 but they did it anyway hence why our defense sucked in...

Don't agree, your only saying that because you kno what they did already! This year u can't say that because we haven't seen them yet!...this defense is talented so was last years, production was the problem! not talent.
