    Lashlee - Bama Gameplan

Again, he's scared of being seen as a non-traditional play caller. He can appeal to NFL GM's by calling the type of game he called today. There's a reason why guys like Norv Turner can be on 7-9 team after 7-9 team and still get offensive coordinator jobs while guys like Steve Spurrier got...

Why? My only theory is that he's coaching to be able to answer questions in a job interview. That's a lot more common of an occurrence than most realize in the football industry.

    Lashlee - Bama Gameplan

Fair question and Im not exactly sure what the answer is at this moment. Maybe Ive been so jaded by so many incompetent play callers over the past 15+ years that I'm happy with a guy who can get a play called after a TV timeout without needing to take a timeout that I dont remember what high...

    Lashlee - Bama Gameplan

I cannot say I share your opinion. He's been more than serviceable for the most part. See my post #54.

Also - That 4th and goal play call from the one yard line was horrible. As the team was lining up I was screaming at my TV saying, "Please dont run a QB sneak here." Sheesh! A QB sneak from the shotgun on 4th and goal from the one yard line with a QB coming off a major knee injury.

    Lashlee - Bama Gameplan

That's exactly what many of us said in the game chat. His first four series looked like we had a two score lead with 8 minutes in the 4th quarter.

    Lashlee - Bama Gameplan

Many of us in the game chat agreed, the way Rhett Lashlee called the first three series of this game told us a lot about him. He called a truly scared game. Its almost as if he waited until Bama covered the spread before he started running his regular game plan. We also saw this during the...
