    MEGA Mega Merged Stadium Thread.

Just checking in to see how this thread’s working out for everyone now that it’s in Mega Merge format. Have we cleared the trees at Tropical Park or filled in any navigable bodies of the US, none of the preceding with NEPA and Corps permits of course… or have we simply returned to the demo &...

Who said this: “That which must be done eventually, should be done immediately“? Was it an athletic director?

Thus far, Rocky got knocked down, Mickey told him to stay down, Rocky ignored Mickey and got up off the canvas and now Rocky is taking the fight to Apollo while Adrien is walking into the arena lending Rocky some emotional support. That said I have no idea where things are on the next page...

Ok. This adds context to it - at least for me as I don’t live there anymore. They’ve already funded the design phase with local/county funds on a fast track. With that they will try to get federal funding, I assume, for acquisitions and then construction. Ok. Sounds like they’re on their way.

Usually- at least out west, you don’t see ROW widths less than 30’ on each side of the centerline of the track though I’ve seen 25’ on each side. I think they could do it in less space. You mentioned a suicide lane. I have seen it done in the middle of a road in a similar situation, with the...

Yeah that’s not happening as a straight up new rail. They’d be acquiring all kinds of right of way to accommodate a private institution. Even if they could do it under the guise of connecting downtown miami to the stadium, it’s not going to give them enough of a return fro the amount of public...

I’m curious - if you know - what was there previously that caused ****nic to be present and at such high levels? Aside from naturally occurring ****nic, and ****nic in treated lumber, you see it on sites up north that may have once been apple orchards, for instance, given the pesticides used...

@HarpDawg - since you disagree, and I can’t fathom how - please please please - enlighten me. Tell me why I’m wrong in saying that: “in an ideal world, a college team should play near the college.” ??? 👀

Because it’s a college team and in an ideal world they should play near the college.

Doesn’t shock me. There were empty seats at regular games from what I remember. A big game like Notre Dame when we destroyed them was pretty packed I recall.

He doesn’t live down there. It’s obviously a nice facility. It would be better for the school if it was where the OB was or in close proximity to campus but it’s not and there’s a long-term lease in place so I think it’s likely water under the bridge for now. I don’t live down there anymore so...
