Yup. Mattix is a Brady Hoke disciple & Hoke is a Rocky Long guy. He came up under Hoke at Michigan as a QC Coach & ST’s guy, then went to Eastern Kentucky under Mark Elder who was at Michigan towards the end of the Lloyd Carr era.

Facts. Danny Gonzales, Zach Arnett, Blake Anderson who just got the Utah State job & hired Banda, Matt Wells at TTech who was also at Utah St, Brady Hoke & Jeff Horton. Rocky Long has produced some really good tough & smart coaches out of San Diego State.
