Wasn’t a fan of using Ziehl, and I don’t know if DiMare had this in mind, but there’s definitely value in seeing how long Ziehl can go. 50+ pitches and he was dealing. That’s 3-4 innings. Could come in handy in the postseason.

Nice recovery by Dorian. Messick hung that 0-1 pitch and he missed it. Got another chance and drove it.

Messick dialed in. Put a couple balls in play. Not great, but only one of the pictures he threw was a ball so standing around watching wouldn’t have helped.
