Of course, my point wasn't to play Nico Baldor more, it was to actually land freshmen and throw them out there. Their plan was to go get mediocre JUCO guys and lose with them as opposed to losing with young players. 2018 could have happened in 2017.

Of course it was. We could have realized that 2017 was going to be a tough year, and we could have built toward 2018 by playing freshmen. Instead, they panicked and tried to save 2017 with JUCO guys. It didn't work. Arguing over something so obvious is proof that you're just here to argue.

My timeline is spot on, because the players who played on the field in 2017 were mediocre D1 players who had been with us or they were JUCO guys who stunk. No one argues that there was a gap, but most people also don't argue that the approach to the gap was ill-advised and cost us a year.

We know there was a gap, and we filled that gap with JUCO guys. They panicked and tried to put a quick band aid on it. We are still paying for that.

That's one guy. We brought in five others who also did very little. And if the roster was "top heavy", why would you bring in six more juniors to ensure that literally two guys would have experience going into 2019?

There was room for six JUCO hitters, who had a combined 550 at bats in 2017. So don't tell me that there wasn't room. Those six JUCO JAGS batted a combined .224 in 2017. There was room for those six guys, but no room for six freshmen.

The JUCO debacle was the most obvious mismanagement of all. That one isn't even debatable.

Okay, so we had guys who could play at this level (top-heavy), and we did the right thing by bringing in JUCO guys, but we somehow missed the tournament two years in a row.
