I believe they acted too quickly and are trying to justify their decision. It's been widely reported that many players in the ACC and SEC had covid, but they're trying to tell us that either those conferences are ignoring or not checking for myocarditis, or the Big 10 players have gotten...

This is about as credible as "unnamed sources close to the situation." If they're ever called on it, they can hide behind HIPAA for not having to validate their claims.. For the record, I'm not attacking you, but the sources that are making these claims are not doing so in good faith.

But they ssid nothing about whether those players have the myocarditis as a result of Covid or whether they have even had Covid. This seems more like a CYA cover story to justify a bad decision.

I was accepted, but my 3 yr old son got an infected lymph node from it and needed surgery. That took the rest of my savings and I just couldn't see starting a 3 year journey without a penny to my name. It would've been possible, but I'd already struggled through 2 years after getting laid off so...

No, it's not the first pandemic. And we've gotten through deadlier ones without ruining everything. This is actually not as bad a s originally feared. None of the dire predictions has come true, yet we're still trying the failed strategies as though they were. Let's work on getting back to normal.

24 hours later, here's the new number. It makes it kind of difficult to say it's getting worse when there are 195 fewer people in the hospital. That's about a 3% reduction in one day.

Myocarditis is a side effect of other viral infections as well so it's not something peculiar to Covid.

I get that, but not doing independent verification rather than dismissal puts you in a position where your 'trusted" sources can mislead knowing you'll believe it. For instance, if you discounted this person's statement and bought into the concept of record hospitalizations, then you'd have egg...
