This has a chance to be the steal of the class.

David Shields got a pretty legit case of mono and is weeks behind. But MLB teams are still high on him. Going to be 50/50 getting him to campus. Kleiven has looked great. Gave up a few early to a loaded Delbarton team and then shut them down. Kleiven could be the next Ziehl type. 6’1...

Honestly…who knows the “secret formula.” But I think the issues comes with year after year usage. The velo is one thing; But pitching in tournaments year round from age 8 up has to be mixed in the equation. I think if you monitor innings at a younger age, take some time away then ramp up...

I’m not going to get my hopes up of seeing him in a Canes uniform. That’s big time stuff for a kid still 2 years out. Assuming he still has a touch of velo left and some polish that is a high first round pick.

I don’t know the NIL situation Collera should def be a kid we entice with one if we can get in the ball park (pun intended). But he has a top 3 high school fastball and the prototype build. I’ve just read where he can get real erratic at times. I’m glad the last two classes have a lot more...

Class of 2024 is encouraging. Top 5 class on paper. (Lsu’s class is absurd). I think most will end up on campus the way the draft shakes out now. Collera prob the only definite goner as of right this moment. Just find a way to get Shields, King and Carabello on campus. Huge upsides and...

Ok…if he turns into 1/2 of him I’ll allow it.

5’6 150. He better have next level athletic traits like Bradfield at Vandy or this is not encouraging. Maybe some measurables online somewhere.

Vandy has almost all but got this kid wrapped up unless someone (Lsu or Arizona) puts a monster $$ together.

Yeah I’ll be shocked if by this time next year he isn’t getting top 15 buzz. Maybe higher. I guess the only knocks would be what position and he’s a touch pull happy…but I’m knit picking. You take a kid with that frame and tool set

Modugno went to Don Bosco originally I believe. Had an older bro who went there too. Really good programs up there. We have the Reyes kid coming in from Bergen who I think has a chance to be special.

Just a couple thing from guys brought up earlier. 2025 Commit from NJ with another dominant outing today. 85-89. He works out of BPC with 2024 commit Tate DeRias (who a stud…I’d let him be a two way). He will be 92-94 and college ready by the time he is heading to Miami. Only about...

Maybe if we stopped trying to reach everyone that they are homerun hitters. What if we just let a kid like Lala be who he is…and get in base in front of guys like YoYo. From UT: Lala, a senior from Tampa, Fla., was presented as a third-team All-American by ABCA/Rawlings. The top hitter in...

Its not just SFLA. JT Caruso from NY who is part of this class is not Miami material at this point. Maybe someday. But he didnt dominate an average NY league. Should go to Herkimer or Lackawanna and add weight and see what happens because there is something there. But probably 2 years away...

Not Miami related but one of my favorite guys who went in the portal just committed to Wake. Seaver King. D2 kid at Wingate. Has it all but wants to prove it at the highest level. Was hoping we would make a run. But unlike the football portal we really dont know much about what is going on...

Transfer portal. I know we have some kids potentially coming in who are very good. But this would be a nice 1 yr filler to replace YoYo while we let youngsters develop https://woffordterriers.com/sports/baseball/roster/ryan-galanie/7793

yeah he touched 100 a few times. Obviously maybe a juiced gun. But you heard right he was consistently upper 9's while also playing a pretty high level SS and could hit. I think the cubs were going to let him give the dual thing a try but this may not help his cause.
