Takeaway from the coach’s roundtable on ESPNU

His classes are amongst the worst in Power 5, they have a serious lack of talent. I also think he has been passed up offensively.

Takeaway from the coach’s roundtable on ESPNU

'Sonny Dykes has a polarizing problem. As the head football coach at Louisiana Tech, Dykes has built the best offense in the country, ranked first out of 120 major college teams in total yards per game. But he also oversees the nation's worst defense – 120th out of 120 teams. "It's kind of a...

Takeaway from the coach’s roundtable on ESPNU

I live about 45 miles from Stillwater, his "looking around" is how gets raises. He's a Cowboy through and through, I don't think he ever leaves on his own. As a Player/Asst. Coach/Coach he is the Okie St football program for the past 25+ years

They probably have 8plus NFL starter guys on that D. IMO their bad #s were a result of the offense having 2 minute TD drives and getting up 35 so they play soft. That D is LOADED with 4-5 star recruits and NFL picks.

Takeaway from the coach’s roundtable on ESPNU

The point I just made and even gave you values is this: LSU WITH THE SAME EXACT PLAYERS as 2018 got over 50% better just by adding Joe Brady in 2019. In 2018 their fans sounded just like us about lack of offensive talent and output. Fact. Until you grasp that you are just babbling nonsense...

Takeaway from the coach’s roundtable on ESPNU

LSU offense 2018 (virtually the same team - Joe Brady) - 2870 yards passing 17 TDs, 2250 yards rushing, 29 TDS. So a total of 4225 yards and 46 TDs 2019 (added Joe Brady) - 6025 yards passing, 61 TDs, 2510 yards rushing, 32 TDs. So a total of 8535 yards and 93 TDs Done with mostly 3 star-4...

Takeaway from the coach’s roundtable on ESPNU

Burrow - transfer QB buried on another teams depth chart asked to leave and a pedestrian QB @ LSU in 2018 CEH - Low 3* RB recruit Jefferson - Low 3* WR recruit Moss - Low 3* WR recruit Chase - 4* WR recruit They also had a 50+% increase in offensive output with the same offense returning open...

Takeaway from the coach’s roundtable on ESPNU

BINGO, I'm sure many LSU fans were questioning their teams talents in 2018. Turns out the talents were already there, they just needed to be put in the right situation. Joe Brady does that on a elite level.

Takeaway from the coach’s roundtable on ESPNU

When you see the leap LSU took under Joe Brady it is obvious what the most important factor is. They had all the same offensive players the year before and the offense got 65% better. Only one variable changed... come on guys

Takeaway from the coach’s roundtable on ESPNU

Takeaway from the coach’s roundtable on ESPNU

Absolutely, the change from an average offense to possibly the best single season CFB offense in order of importance to me went: BRADY (by far the #1 factor) BURROW WRs/TEs CEH OL

Takeaway from the coach’s roundtable on ESPNU

Brady is a genius. He was a master at getting the matchups he wanted. He would move Jefferson/Chase/Moss/CEH/Marshall around the formation to get them away from teams CB1/2 and isolate them on nickel cbs/safeties/sometimes OLBs.
