I’ll say this. The Lucha/Bucks cage match might have been the best cage match I’ve seen. At minimum equal to End of an Era (HHH/Taker). Better than HBK/Taker. Better than BossMan/Hogan on SNME or Orndorff/Hogan.

My wife - casual fan - likes her. They did a great job of maximizing her return to her hometown this week. She was calling it “Brittsburgh”.

They did a great job of using their wrestlers as substitute crowds after just a few weeks, placing about thirty of them in the front row, micing them appropriately and then tightening camera angles so as to not show the otherwise empty Daley’s Place. They made the best of a terrible situation.

The hilarious thing is that I can imagine a scenario about five years hence....Disney or NBC have purchased WWE and decide that new leadership is needed, just like Turner did with Jim Crockett Promotions in 1988....and the parent company brings in Cody Rhodes to be the EVP of WWE.

And as an aside, the NWA (WCW in the future) lost Chicago as a viable market when they did the stupid Dusty finish at Starrcade 87 in the match between LOD and the Horsemen. The fans got trolled by the false finish and would not come back.
