@LeedsCane I heard a rumor that UGA has a Bones steakhouse in its new football facility. Fact or fiction?

If you want nicer, Ariete is close by in the grove. If you want hip but casual, Chugs in the Grove is a Cuban diner. If you want super casual, La Cameronera and Garcias are not too far away for fish and El Rey de las Fritas for a frita.

Only sandwiches, baked stuff, and coffee counter service. I wish they would do entree plates for take out dinner but not sure they have the space. Agree! There are a couple of spots up here that do the empanada side of things with people from Miami. One is still only at farmers markets, but the...

Atlanta people. I went to Buena Gente this morning. Cuban bakery and sandwich shop. The owners are from Hialeah and it is KILLER. They make their guava preserves in house, amazing croquetas, empanadas, papa rellenas, full sandwich menu you’d expect (Cuban, medianoche, croqueta preparada...

Have done some killer takeout around Atlanta lately. Heirloom Market BBQ - Texan husband, Korean wife. Sides are half traditional (beans, mac n cheese, collards) and half Korean like banchan (kimchi, cucumber radish salad, etc). The rubs have gochujang, miso, and kimchi in them. Killer...

We were going to go one... and then my wife saw some of the cuts they serve... and then saw the chicken sashimi. So we didn’t make it. But it looks incredible.

It is tough but that is part of the fun and adventure. The trains and subways are all in English, but are tricky for different reasons (there are multiple rail companies that have different routes). However, google has an app that will translate print to English that worked pretty well. So...

We would either need to fly to NYC or Boston and fly from there or fly to Madrid/London/Paris and connect from there. Portugal looks incredible though, especially the Douro and areas just outside of Lisbon.

So Atl is weird. You have direct flights most everywhere because we are Delta’s headquarters and there are a LOT of flight times to choose from. However, because of that, it is really expensive to fly out of. They have an absolute stranglehold on ATL and there are no other airports in the...

Living in Atlanta, it is so hard to convince ourselves to book a trip somewhere that doesn’t have a direct flight on delta. We were looking at the Azores. Nixed it because of the necessary connection. Surprisingly, we also can’t fly direct into Portugal, which is a shame because I’d love to...

Sounds awesome. The street art there looks amazing too. We did a similar tour in Tel Aviv actually. I was waiting for you to say bandeja paisa. I dated a Colombian girl years back. Tiny tiny thing but she could whack away an entire plate of bandeja paisa before I made it through a quarter of it.

Cartagena is on the to do list for sure. So easy to get to from the Southeast. The next big big trip will be a safari, but Colombia, St Lucia and Belize are high up for easier trips once this **** ends. What foods did yall get to try?

I need to get back to London at some point, preferably to see the ****nal. For anyone who needs a travel bug itched, Street Food Latin America is on Netflix today. The same people who do Chef's Table (which is also amazing if you have not watched), but they pick a different country in each...

Friend lives there. Loves Lyle’s and River Cafe. Core by Clare Smyth... she was Gordon Ramsey’s chef for years getting three stars and just opened her own spot. Must get Indian while there. Probably the best Indian food in the world, including India. Everything at Borough Market.

Have heard this from a number of people. A friend did a run of 2/3 star places from Bilbao to Barcelona for his honeymoon. Etxebarri was closed for the season, so he didn’t go there. Said Arzak was not even disappointing, he said it was a bad meal. He said Tickets was far and away number one...

Unfortunately so are the number of diners comfortable eating in for the foreseeable future. Fast casual or places with food that holds well to go will be all the more in demand. Tough industry with thin margins. Maybe it will give more independent spots a shot, especially in cities like NYC...

That’s a shame and a real loss. I feel like Miracle Mile has been under construction for decades now. Hopefully they are in a position to ride into the sunset. I’m sure their rent has gotten astronomical in recent years too.
