I know we like his size. The key for him is competitiveness and work ethic in the offseason. Coaches want any excuse to put that body type on the field.

Sorry I missed this. A nickel is closer to the ball, so I would prioritize instincts, lateral quickness (due to the two-way go of the receiver), open field tackling and the ability to diagnose plays. At outside corner, I want more length and downfield speed. With that said, you need downfield...

Curious to see if this matched with people’s impressions after seeing the spring game. It seemed to me the team performed as it practiced all spring.

He plays better than he looks. Kind of a strange frame. I see him ideally as a utility guy, but he is a starter right now. Maybe John Campbell or a transfer pushes Scaife to his spot.

Hard to tell from the outside in practice. I agree we need major improvement in the return game. This is Miami.

Big summer for him. It's all about getting stronger. I have no doubt he will make plays in the backfield. It's the stoutness that will take him to the elite level.

Don't want to be too direct singling kids out, but anybody on the third team or stuck on the second team without first-team reps.

The best backs will play. Young running backs can usually get on the field if they pick up the pass blocking.

Yes. I would keep an eye on Citizen and Graves. Harris and Horton have a chance based on how physically impressive they were in person. And you always get a surprise or two.

I could see that if he gets passed by freshmen. He has potential at corner and it was smart to start him off there but WR is always an option.

“Tight” meaning he has some issues with flexibility and change of direction. He is better in a straight line.

You can tell we are spending money. The first thing you notice when you walk into practice is the sheer size of the staff. It feels at least three times bigger. Kids are finishing a drill and getting instruction immediately, which isn't possible with a smaller staff. The pace is night and day...
