Well, playing DL is about length. D-lineman engage with their hands, not the top of their heads. Generally taller guys have longer arms, thus the focus on height. But they'll usually take a shorter guy that has a big wing span. (Miami coaches asked about Tarber's arm length) You can run a 3-4...

Literally everybody wants 6'4" DT's though. Y'all act like this is a Mario thing. Tarber is probably better at the point-of-attack than anybody we have right now. Motor issues are a concern for most 6'2" 320+ high school kids. Shoot, even Leonard Taylor had his own issues. Nyjalik too. Y'all...

He's definitely the war daddy type.

He's almost 6'3" and in the low 300's right now. And not fat at all. He's a grown *** man and an immovable object. He plays immediately IMO.

Venerables will be happy to find out that Tarber played in the same front(s) that he himself likes to run. He played everything this season from the 0-tech, 1-tech, 3-tech and 4i. Wouldn't be surprised to see him contribute early.
