A bag to sit out your senior year of HS?! That doesn't make sense to me bro. By all accounts, he's a good player but by no means is he the 2nd coming of Adrian Peterson. He might not even start or be a significant contributor his freshman year at Texas so why would Texas pay him to sit out?

Interesting theory. I could definitely see something like this being implemented by lower tier schools. The only thing is would the kid actually do it if they could potentially yield bigger offers by playing their senior season.

Very bold strategy. Texas did sign off on it. Him, his family and the Texas staff all discussed it before making the decision.

In the article it says he's on track to graduate early. He's doing it to remain healthy.
