I was in Tampa in October for a week and everyone I met was from the Midwest…all big 10 fans. Didn’t see a UF or FSU fan until the third bar I was at. Only saw two other UM fans all day that day.

Yeah that’s been understood, was more so saying money aside. If Notre dame joined the ACC realignment would probably stop which would be nice.

I think we need to finish with 9-10 including the bowl. If it’s 8, every game has to be close. This is the most down I’ve seen the media on Miami in as long as I can remember. Maybe it helps break the cycle of us not living up to expectations

I don’t disageee with most of what you said but almost every media member I’ve read besides Phil Steele sees Miami winning 5 to 7 games this year.

Adding the four PAC 4 teams, SMU, Tulane, Memphis, and a San Diego State to bring the ACC to 22 teams wouldn’t be terrible if we couldn’t get out of the ACC by say 2030 (yeah yeah I know we are most likely gone by 2025). I’d happily travel to Nola, San Diego, Memphis and Dallas for some games...

It is terrible, but it would be far and away the best non power conference. I don’t see Stanford joining that conference. I think they eventually end up in the BIG

Yup, once the SEC starts getting their teeth kicked in by the BIG from a viewer standpoint in 2024 the SEC TV networks are going to force their hand…if it even takes that long

The remaining PAC teams should just merge with the Big 12. Then the ACC should dissolve across the BIG, SEC and Big 12. Rip off the bandaid and call it a day.

Smart, Oregon and Washington….actually when you really think about it miami, FSU, and Clemson really don’t have any leverage. They’re alll stuck in dead conferences.

That’s another piece of the puzzle that really isn’t being discussed. What are Out of conference games going to look like once we hit power 3? 10 conference game. 1 out of conference vs a G7? and then maybe a game against a non conference power 3 team rival like a Miami/FSU.

No problem! definitely looks like power 3 is going to be the future especially after the rumored PAC TV deal with Apple. #4 is looking good. I thought more rivals would be packaged together like USC/UCLA and Texas/Oklahoma were but it looks like Miami could be moving independent of FSU.

Bumping from about 13 months ago. Was off with Miami to the SEC and looks like I’ll be wrong about Oregon and Washington. I’ll do a revised projection at some point for the **** of it.

Yeahhhh sounds like they were trying to drum up support or put a sense of urgency that the last ship is leaving the port…trying to get the majority to leave the ACC to avoid the buyout.
