No response to this post. Keep recruiting the 305, baby. All swag, but no results. Mediocre seasons in football and baseball for 20 years, but don’t hate on da 305.

I love all this “regression” stuff when we haven’t had a season to regress from in 20 years. How do you regress from being a crappy 2-seed.

Because Jagr understands amateur baseball. Gooner doesn’t. Gooner thinks it’s all coaching when freshmen at Notre Dame already understand baseball while Miami players have to be taught how to run bases.

I guess I don't know why people are so defensive against the idea of recruiting nationally. That was the bottom line of the original post. Do you know that there were 11 guys drafted from the 2001 team, and six of those were from out of state? We've managed to find those kids before.

What you're saying isn't wrong, but there's still a big mystery surrounding it. Gino has always been the hitting guy. Always. How could he oversee such an improvement from 2018 to 2019 and then say ***** it, let's go backwards. In any event, while we're pumping up 2019, that was still a...

No idea what you're trying to say, I just know that you're not responding to anything I wrote.

They are, but they are also starting so far behind players from other teams on the mental side. No one has questioned their physical ability.

While our guys are learning how to tag up properly, players from other teams are learning as well. Except that they had a head start. That's how you end up going 1-5 against VT and Pitt. But thank you for finally admitting that there is a whole lot that our recruits need to learn.

Nope, but when kids from Virginia Tech know how to run bases better than the #1 recruiting class in the country, something was wrong when those kids showed up.

Except that they show up on campus not understanding the game well enough to hold each other accountable.

Of course they can teach. But they don't teach how to run from second to third on a fly ball to left field. Teaching at that level is deeper than "here's how we do a double cut".

Well, he didn't lead the nation in home runs. Who are you giving credit to for his jump from 2018 to 2019?

*their They have like seven south Florida guys and they're beating South Alabama. Any word on the other 12 teams from Florida?

In case you're wondering, Indiana State has one Miami kid who batted .257. He is probably the only reason why they swept FIU in Miami by a combined score of 29-8.

A coach who had enough success to make it to the NCAA Regionals with an HBCU can't put together a .500 season with a roster full of south Florida guys. If you're worried about who he played against, FIU's 30 south Florida guys got swept by Indiana State and Charlotte on their way to a 20-31...

Greg Lovelady, another one of the hottest young names in coaching, took Wright State to two regionals in three years. In five years at UCF, he has been to one regional.

You mean the USF that only go into the tournament because they won the conference tournament? USF sucks. Poor example. Florida's CWS talent in 2017 would have been recruited in 2014. Yes, the travel ball culture has changed dramatically since then. Like I said, you're not a baseball guy, so you...
