    I think they would be happy if one of the freshmen took the spot. But relying on true freshmen who need to gain significant weight is a perilous strategy. As for the trolling, I don’t think that factors into their thinking at all. They weren’t the ones getting trolled.

    I want to see how he does in full contact. His issue has always been leverage at 6’7 with raw technique. Best case, he’s a huge edge-setter in a run-stopping role.

    I don’t think taking a 4th or 5th DE precludes us from doing anything. Just for perspective, our starting DEs in Tuesday’s practice were Alston and Anthony Campbell. Injuries can mount quick. I get questioning the upside but I don’t see much downside in this type of move.
