fair points, but there has to be more development (which we all agree has been happening) ... we need horton and moten to continue to develop ... if jhh comes back (not sure where he'd go after that performance) we'll have a nice rotation in regards to hope, well that'll be every team in a few...

we're good in spots ... cooper, mauigua, rivers on the oline, lost fletcher early x on the outside, i wanna say george, but that was one of the worst games i've seen from him in regards to his IQ ... he's shown flashes, but has to mature bain on the front, mauigua at linebacker, porter and brown...

i think we have similarity in thought, but i lean more to having top classes each year ... for example i'm all for going portal heavy this offseason, despite what some think I feel with the right qb and healthy we'd have a college football playoff roster (since expanding to 12 teams)

the gamble is you have to stay healthy ... fsu did the same and it almost worked, but when the qb went down the plan began to crumble ... the playoff committee just pushed it over the edge ... now they got portal entries and opt outs left and right and are looking at an huge loss on national tv...

i'm not arguing with their past success, i'm saying they mortgaged their future for a big season that didn't quite come to fruition ... now they're staring a three td loss in the face with multiple portal entrants and no viable backups in the face heading into the off season

let me add some context, all their misfortune lines up with our improvement and back to back top ten recruiting classes ... i can't speak on georgia and bama, they're in another stratosphere ... but its a process, winning the acc has been the goal for **** near 20 years

it's all good ... half of the dudes on this site were deion fans, i'm able to separate his playing days in the league from his college and now coaching days ...

and i'm a huge deion fan ... but if that boy come back it's for the wrong reasons imo, it's to help his dad build that program ... his accuracy and touch are NFL ready

fair, they need a qb, rb, wr ... that's just offense ... they having trouble paying current guys, they have money for more guys?

they bought this success (which is funny with all the flack we catch) and don't have the money to do it again as they have so many holes to plug between super seniors and portal guys .... where's the hs talent?

fair point about 19 in a row ... that being said 12 of those came on this gamble year ... you have to admit they went heavy portal to plug holes instantly with hopes of riding the success going forward and it was well on its way to working ... but an injury and now what? they did have a top ten...

I read the article on the fsu site and while the committee's decision is questionable the bigger issue for florida state is their roster was either bought or a super senior... they haven't really developed much talent and have nobody in the wings waiting as guys opt out ... their demise isn't so...
