Well said. Both FSU and UF got a lot more hardcore fans than we do (especially in this state), but that's part of what makes the Canes unique: UM's fanbase is, as the saying goes, a mile wide and an inch deep. We got our diehards for sure but probably a lot higher percentage of bandwagon fans...

Good thing is we have two potential landing spots: SEC or Big Ten - and each is run by a different (rival) network. Our best shot is FOX and/or ESPN telling those in charge of the two super conferences: "You need to add Miami ... and we'll make it worth your while to do so."
