Places to knock down for stadium

It doesn’t matter if we had the room. Look, I lived on Campus. I see the map. I am aware. Thank you. I also own a condo in University Inn. I am familiar with the area. Thank you. If you read this thread, the majority of the fans don’t want more traffic anywhere near campus. Case closed.

Places to knock down for stadium

You know what else is within 4 miles of campus? TROPICAL PARK!! The more I read this thread the less likely the Canes will ever leave JRS. The argument that the stadium is empty, or too far from campus or not owned by the school is shot down by the traffic and parking argument. So, no. Do...

Places to knock down for stadium

While I agree, think about how many empty seats there were when Miami set the home win record in the Orange Bowl. Plenty of Big East teams played there. Why would a team want to own its own stadium if it can't fill the venue? And for only 6 home games a year? Take the whole "Event supplement"...

Places to knock down for stadium

So you want a smaller stadium. A smaller stadium will not accomodate our marquis games like FSU, and you can forget about having another Notre Dame 2017 experience. So the answer to having a smaller stadium is still having special events back at the very stadium you hate. So then having a...

Places to knock down for stadium

However, for a stadium, you wouldn’t be looking to sell. In the event that you do, you would just profit off the selling of the land minus the cost the buyer would spend to knock it down. I would imagine the cost to purchase land and build a stadium would far exceed renting it for well over a...

Universal can justify the excavation and maintenance because their income stream is constant. Compare that to an event based venue who would have 6 home games a year and some other events sprinkled annually.

Yes, but have you read how many people on this thread detest taking anything but their cars and want smooth traffic and parking?

Places to knock down for stadium

Three locations listed are closer to campus with rail access, but parking and traffic seem to be the primary concerns. If it's all about parking and traffic, I see Joe Robbie's plot of land being our home for decades to come.

Places to knock down for stadium

    1) Take the GD Metro and STFU. 2) Already stated, it's the off season and the Sunset issue is recent. 3) Ruiz only recently started making advances about a new stadium on CG HS property. Not 10 years ago… 4) Complain all you want about too many posts on this thread, but you are currently the...

Places to knock down for stadium

It's off season and all we do is complain about our lack of assistant coaches. I heard businesses were leaving Sunset Place and thought that would be an ideal location for a University of Miami stadium. Maybe I'm wrong.
