Bring him (Mark Stoops) to me!

Shannon had a brief stint as an associate head coach at Florida and Golden's career actually went upward as he went to the NFL for a few years after Miami. Larry Coker found another head coaching job and Richt was burned out. We boot Manny and he'll probably get back up again. He's young enough...

Well like I was saying to Mainline there's technically no penalty for being wrong about our coaches potential but the last time we were really wrong we watched Mario go to Oregon. Shannon wasn't a horrible coach. I'd have used Golden as a reference to a coach who got too much time.

😁 Fair enough. It doesn't you cost you anything to be wrong and I won't get a prize for being right.

The first few years are always the worst. I'm not against replacing Manny, but only with a proven winner. Another up and comer or a good veteran (Mark Richt) is a waste of more time to me.

Coastal Carolina is in the top 25. So is Wake forest. A while back Boise st was a frequent visitor to the top 10. Saban could rehab Kentucky. May not make them champions but he'd have them competing at a very high level. None have pedigrees or killed it in recruiting.

All coaches who lose and get fired display lots of ineptitude. That's why they lose. Question is are you ready to say that Manny's career is toast right now after his first 3 years ever as a head coach.

I'm sure that you remember back at grassy how harsh the board was on people who suggested that Mario was a good candidate fresh after being fired from FIU. He labored for 6 years before he figured it out. Yes I know that FIU was a new program but even in year 6 Mario was 3-9. Not saying that we...

If we're not going to get a championship grade coach we may as well let the one we have grow into the position. Changing coaches every 4 years hoping to luck into a championship coach hasn't worked for us in 20 years.

Every coach wants to compete for a championship. Almost no chance you get enough talent at Kentucky to do that.

Bring him (Mark Stoops) to me!

Think about it. If any great coach like Urban, Saban or even Dabo had been at Kentucky 8 years wouldn't they have made Kentucky into a power by now? They'd have at least been in contention for an SEC crown once. Stoops doesn't have the super powers necessary to push us over the edge. Yes we...

Bring him (Mark Stoops) to me!

He'd be an upgrade but he wouldn't move us beyond the 9-11 win total ever. We'd get tired of him after about 4 years.
