Where has it been reported that Rousseau and Irvin are out for season?

It has not but with the new rule they will be back for either the final 4 games and still be able to redshirt or not return at all.
Irvin had knee surgery that essentially put him out for about 3-4 months around the time Fall camp was going on.
Rousseau's wait and see as he's projected to be out 4-6 weeks at the time of the Savannah State game.
Last time I checked it is still a violent game. Here is to a speedy recovery. We sometimes loses the fact that it is only a game.

Can he still workout, run, and be with the team during meetings and everything else? Neck injuries sound serious and potentially career threatening. Hope he gets to play football again!
Hope he can recover fully and live a long and healthy life, first and foremost. Hope he can play football again next. After that, looking forward to seeing the player he can become if and when he is able to get healthy.

Yes he ran into someone during practice in 2015 and had to be airlifted to the hospital I think
Greg played the first 2 games. He would only be eligible to play 2 if he is going redshirt.

No one is taking away from the physicality of the game, but back to back seasons with neck injuries that have severely limited/ended a player's career is unfortunate.
Exactly. But it has never been said he will be out for season. I thought maybe you knew something we did not. Apparently that is not the case. If the staff can get 4 games out of him late in season they will likely sacrifice a redshirt given the depth issues we have. Plus no guarantee he sticks around 5 years with his level of talent.
Ok but they aren’t gonna rush him back and risk him reinjuring himself. I’m all for them not redshirting him if he comes back later in the year. He’s a talented player and def has NFL potential. You are spot on him not staying 5 years.
