Where Miami Players Fall in Latest NFL Mock Draft

Draft day is three days away, and Miami players are starting to head back to their hometowns to wait on Thursday night to hear their names called in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Sixteen Hurricanes are expected to be sitting on the couch Thursday night, waiting for their moment to arrive.

So with that in mind, what are national analysts saying about where Miami’s guys will land? ESPN’s Jordan Reid released his annual 257-pick full mock draft for this year’s class.

See where the Hurricanes are listed below in order, and what Reid had to say about the Hurricanes:

Round 1.

3. (Cardinals) Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami

"Protecting the quarterback has been a constant issue for the Cardinals, who allowed 59 sacks last season (fifth most in the NFL). The Cardinals' offensive tackles also finished with the lowest run block win rate at the position last season, and Mauigoa provides an immediate plug-and-play starter on the right side. Arizona signed Elijah Wilkinson this offseason, but that shouldn't prevent it from searching for a long-term fixture at right tackle."

9. (Chiefs) Rueben Bain Jr., Edge, Miami

"It has been nine years since the Chiefs have picked in the top 10. That draft netted them Patrick Mahomes, so Kansas City would love a similar home run with this pick. Bain is a rugged, high-effort edge rusher who brings an immediate identity to that position group. He checks every characteristic defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo likes on the edge as a densely built, heavy-handed playmaker with alignment versatility. Bain's short arms are a historical outlier, and teams are aware of the off-field issues that have surfaced, but I still believe he will go in the top half of Round 1."

22. (Chargers) Akheem Mesidor, Edge, Miami

"The Chargers need interior offensive line help, but with Odafe Oweh having departed for Washington and Khalil Mack entering his age-35 season, Los Angeles also needs an edge rusher to add to Mack and Tuli Tuipulotu. Mesidor would be an excellent fit into the pass-rush rotation as a relentless player with a repertoire of moves. He had 12.5 sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss last season. He is also a reliable run defender who can set a firm edge."

Round 3.

86. (Chargers) Keionte Scott, CB, Miami

"Scott has a linebacker's mentality, as he tries to destroy anything that comes within his coverage. He fits best in a nickel/overhang strong safety role at the next level."

95. (Patriots) Markel Bell, OT, Miami

"Bell is a towering blocker (6-foot-9, 346 pounds) who has agile feet for his size. With Morgan Moses in his age-35 season and Will Campbell's future at tackle in question, Bell could be a nice long-term option."

99. (Steelers) Carson Beck, QB, Miami

"Many scouts I've spoken to like Beck's floor and think he can be a long-term backup option. He would be another developmental player along with Will Howard, last year's sixth-round pick."

Round 5.

156. (Colts) Jakobe Thomas, DB, Miami

Round 6.

196. (Vikings) CJ Daniels, WR, Miami

Round 7.

227. (Dolphins) Anez Cooper, OL, Miami

Hard to believe Anez falls to 7.R5 IMHO.

If you had told me prior to 2025 season that cooper might not get drafted or get picked in round 7, I’d say no chance. However, he had a sub par senior year and did not have a good combine performance.

That said, the guy has a lot of starts under his belt on some good teams. He should be a round 5 type pick but right now, I think 6-7/UDFA sounds about right.
No chance for Bissainthe?

I don’t think so

Did Cooper’s draft stock fall for some reason? Do you guys think he’s more of a round 4-5 guy or do I have my Canes glasses on?

People are sleeping on Thomas. I think he can play in the league.
He wasnt even on scouts boards before season and he has same issue as martinez, his position is extremlyyy deep this year, lots of good safeties.. Hopefully he goes to good situation and balls out

I'd say there are 6 safeties CLEARLY superior.

Kilgore is a great athlete but will be ranked all over the place and some will have as more of a Nickel. Wheatley and Ramsey are probably the two most tossup with Thomas imo. So most likely he's in that 7-10 safety range. That's right around 4th-5th in value.

Genesis smith is an elite athlete, but most don't think he was very good. VJ payne great athlete as well and is probably just below that group of 3, and could even be more of an actual corner than safety. And I think Bishop Fitzgerald, Buskey, taaff, wisneiwski are next but imo clearly worse...

The kind of guy the Steelers draft and is still in the league in 7 yrs and is just solid.

Giants better go Bain then anyone else or another defensive player man, but we trash at drafting so I am expecting us to draft DBC with our pick. But I did say I would trade all my teams to be trash for Miami to be back so I cant complain its what I asked for and would ask it again.

Its the glasses lol. His stock was never high; I appreciate him but he was just a decent player here. Add in the fact that there's at least a dozen decent iOL who tested better, shii tested at all, than Anez.

Why do you guys need Bain? Y'all already have Burns, Abdul, and Thib. Harbaugh, or maybe Ozzie Newsome, always targeted DBs and OL in the 1st. I'm guessing you guys go Downs then Francis or Fano at 10 if you don't trade it.
