Funny thing is Smith seems to be the one who had to clean things up.

this. lol not sure if it was on purpose but Mallory got the best of 7 & 13 on literally every snap they matched up. great fade route and catch against Tyreke. Smith did not get beat by him once and had to clean up for his higher touted teammates every time

He's going to be scary after he puts on weight. He already runs angry.

Love the enthusiasm but I agree we need to pump the brakes here. Yes buddy has the potential to be elite (Jordan too) but for all we know he could turn out to be Chase Ford and BJordan could be Dedrick Epps. Lets give these kids a chance to get in the system and learn and adapt before we heap crazy expectations on them.

Some posters on here love labeling kids as busts if they aren't a Freshmen All American after their first year.

No. Every highly-touted kid with great highlights will be a 1st Round draft pick.

Jeramy Shockley is his floor

Jordan, Mallory, Irvin II, Haskins = best TE group in the nation, period. We bout to get these boys paid.

Will Mallory looks like Kellen Winslow Jr how smooth he runs and catches... but lets not act like he showed out against Trinity Christian if all he had was 4 catches and 1 TD??

Agreed. He was clearly the best thing his team had going that game. And having those moments against such prime competition is impressive, but here is a more complete picture of the match up:

Will Mallory > Brevin Jordan
Will Mallory + Brevin Jordan.

from the highlight i saw Brevin Jordan is more physical after the catch and just a physical beast in general, Will Mallory runs smoother, both deceptively fast and both have excellent hands.

One will transfer after year 2.

Don't understand comments like this all the time. Most of your legit football players aren't scared of comp **** look at your own team and the numerous examples. 2001 (McGhee, gore, portis). (Winslow, shockey) etc. etc.

And if a guy does leave cause he got beat out chances are he sucks/ was overrated/ isn't a real competitor. Has any Miami transfer gone anywhere and done anything recently? Historically? Minus the punter who left Miami for f's in the 80's most all transfers from here sucked. Robert Marvel went to Purdue and sucked there. Farr and Jones went to Memphis. Did nothing. Both so called 5 stars etc. etc.

Majority of the time is more of a reflection of other issues ...........
