Finally! Great job by staff. Went up against to big boys for a top recruit in THE POSITION that matters and came away with the BIG DOG. Welcome to THE U young man! Study hard, work hard and become our next Outland Award winner. Jenkins and you will make great running mates and together make the whole D 10 times better. LET THE BIG DOGS HUNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets wait and see on the academics...we all thought AQM was a given and here we are on pins and needles hoping he gets in...

Between what his coach said about him and what Valentine is saying, I believe this kid will be good to go academically. I love what Valentine said in that piece about the academics at UM, about playing time, and about shutting down his recruitment. Kaaya and Valentine sound like future leaders on their respective side of the ball - stressing academics, competing, and recruiting for us. I love what Jenkins is saying as well. With Valentine, Jenkins, and Stuckey as Canes the interior of our DL should be in great shape. Golden and company are doing a great job recruiting this class thus far all the off the field bs considered.

Now that Valentine is committed to Hurricanes, he relieved to shut down the recruiting process and enjoy his senior year.

“I’m not gonna take any visits, it’s official. I’m done with the recruiting process. I enjoyed every college coach and scout and I’m so happy that they tried to recruit me as hard as they can, but I feel like Miami is home.”

Now that he is apart of the class, Valentine has a message for all the Miami fans

“Hey, now every Saturday is gonna be Valentine’s day. Every Thursday night, every bowl game is gonna be Valentine’s day. All the teams we play I’m gonna make them my bytches."

I fixed it for you.

This is a huge commit from a big time prospect. Put in the work in the classroom young man. We need you in 2014.

Fair enough Cane, but we really don't have much choice on the waiting part. Hearing what his coach is saying makes me optimistic.

I would say I prayed that we get this guy but that'll be a lie coming from an ol sinner like me, but I was hoping as hard as a Gaytor wishing it all would go away. One more big time DT like Holley or the N. Carolina kid.

Add Thomas to that wish list and our DL problems all go away.

some good news there was some buzz that he might visit LSU this week with some teammates but that is not going to happen

I don't want our croots visiting SEC schools until we've proved that they can stay there.
