Updated 2022 Recruiting Board

The past 12 days have been HOT when it comes to Coral Gables and the 2022 recruiting cycle so far. Manny Diaz and his staff is setting themselves up for a intriguing month of June with multiple visits from big name recruits both locally and out of state. After talking to a few recruits and people close to the program, this is where I see Miami's class shaping up so far. Keep in mind we have a long way to go, but so far great things are brewing in Miami for the Canes.

This will sound like a typical sour grapes post, but I was and am hoping for either Skinner or Helms.

Helms is my #1 guy. We're behind in that recruitment but im sure we will snag a nice 1 ....at worst we should get RJ Maryland in the boat.

 

AJ news just soured this post...I get that recruiting is fluid and only consistent is that things are always moving and changing...but...based on AJs interview he talked highly of Texas and the relationships he had with that one coach dating back to his pledge at UW....I didn't read anything particularly special that made me think we were the frontrunner but on the excel doc he was given a Highly Likely grade.

All in all this doesn't exactly come off as shocking news.

 

Which of the 2 possible TEs do you think are more likely now that Anthony Jones has committed to Texas?

Rj Maryland and Mason Taylor I heard had a really good work out as well. Skinner and Helms obviously higher but think other teams are the team to beat.

 

**** happens it’s why you have a board. But I didn’t like that TE list even before the Jones commit to UT. Now it’s more concerning still. Arroyo needs a counterpart. So we can have disruptive 2 TE sets.

 

To be honest, I trust zero sources unless it's @Cribby... @tdub85 means good but he is the kiss of death and @bradtejeda is another Peter Ariz

 

We could use a portal TE for 22 season,when Mallory leaves we're going to be extremely young there.

 

If we pulled in all of these green players our defense would be absurd. DE/DT haul would be one of the best in the country for the last 2 years.

Allen I guess is next up the kid from Louisiana... I just hate having to wait and let other SEC schools or even LSU late be able to swoop him away

Yep. I guess safety/striker board is now: kamari, markeith, ja thomas, and allen. Gotta readjust now and land 2/4 of those guys.

 

With everyone giving Brad a hard time with his color coding, had it crossed anyone’s mind that maybe we filled up at TE recently and that is why Jones committed to Texas?

 

If Wiltfong saying Covil Clemson bound, probably can wrap that one up and put a bow on it. Doesn't matter though whether it’s AJ or Covil, recruiting literally just opened up 13 days ago, we learned last year from LT and JW that this is a marathon not a sprint. Canes will be fine and we'll get at least 70% of the top kids on our board. Won't get them all but we'll land our fair share.

Definite possibility....but....if that were the case Brad "HIGHLY LIKELY" wouldn't have placed Jones as highly likely...right?
