Transfer portal opens in four days (April 7), and a new Miami target is emerging to watch.
Villanova transfer guard Acaden Lewis is back in the portal. Hurricanes fans should remember this name from last year. Miami recruited Lewis out of high school last season, as Jai Lucas was in his final two schools before committing to play for Villanova.
Now he's back on the market.
As Lewis entered the transfer portal, he has also said he will be declaring for the NBA Draft, while maintaining his college career eligibility.
According to many reports, The Hurricanes will be involved with the 6-foot-2 190-pound freshman. A native of (Washington, DC), Lewis will have three years of eligibility remaining at his next stop. He is one of a handful of portal guards expecting to hear from Miami later this month.
Lewis averaged 12.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game during 33 games in the 2025-26 season. He shot 45.6 percent from the floor and 27.0 percent from three-point range.
As a member of the Class of 2025, Lewis was a four-star recruit out of (Washington, DC), according to the 247Sports ranking system. He was the No. 30 overall prospect in the state, the No. 5 point guard in the class and the No. 1 overall prospect out of Washington, DC.
I expect the Hurricanes coaching staff to be involved here. If you want to see how he plays on the court, check his film out down below:
