As anything. When Manny Diaz recruits all time NFL players but we argue about the position, send me a PM. Until then, I’ll buy you a drink when our return and ST game resembles anything we used to be proud of.

LoL, Hester and Taylor were recruited by Coker. There is only one Devin Hester, period.

Miami has two stellar kickoff returners over the past 40 years--Tremain Mack and Hester. And only three stellar punt returners--Kevin Williams, Phillip Buchanon and Hester. We've had three guys who could really go after blocking kicks--Bubba McDowell, Mack and Hester.

Poor punting has been an anomaly and it is what stands out. Vogel, O'Donnell, Botts, Bosher were all very good. Placekickers the same with Badgely, Wieclaw, Bosher. Even guys like Collier did a good job returning punts. So did Berrios. Baxa was fine for a freshman. 75%. Should get better.

yeah I agreed as well but instead of clicking the agree button I'm having to reply to a quote of a quote just to say I concur whereas I used to click the green agree button everything is going to **** this is why we can't have nice things.

I’d add Travis Benjamin in the “good”category also for returners

He was, and that is what concerns me a little with Patke coaching ST, it is one thing to draw up a return/coverage scheme and keep guys in their lane or open up holes, I feel it is completely different to be able to watch, dissect, critique, and correct a punting or FG kicking issue.

Yep. That was my point re coker / hester. Hester excelled in so many ways on ST.

Kicking has been really frustrating recently, along with coverage and returns. Field position is so important.

Richt really didn’t focus on it enough. He didn’t focus on a lot of things enough.

Something else I find amusing is how the Rumph supporters always bring up how great he is with development. The success stories of Colbert and MJ. Yet, nobody talks about the huge flub with Delaney. Delaney was a projected 3-4th round pick when he decided to leave the Citadel and come to UM. He came to UM because he wanted to get coached up and become a 1st round pick. You can make up whatever excuse you want, but the fact is he went from a mid round pick to undrafted with Rumph as his coach.
Im not a Rumph supporter...Delaney ain’t Rumph fault kid got hurt & was just ok as a player

Punt returns were very good this year between Thomas and Dallas. Punt coverage not great but our punting was embarrassingly bad.

I'd like to see us to trying to block kicks.

Richt was way too conservative. Hopefully, Diaz is more aggressive. Diaz needs to give Baker the defense and own special teams. Logically, he will since Baker is running his system and doesn't need to be babysat.

we will see what the 2020 class looks like, then we can judge.
tough to find coaches who excel at coaching and recruiting
look at Kool very good coach awful in recruiting.
Rumphs CBs get better but he is not strong on crootin trail
CMD worked portal to perfection and would not be surprised to see an O lineman before all is said and done

Michael jackson wasn’t no **** rotational player before rumph got here, he only played 4 games as a freshman mostly on special teams

I can’t believe we are letting the “I Hate Rumph” brigade get away with this BS.

Rumph can hang his hat on:

Colbert
Elder
MJ
Bandy

And anyone else after...He squeezed all he could out of Dean. And Malik Young would have been his too if he didn’t get hurt.

He played a bit better in 2017 than he did last year. But his progression was expected.

Michael Jackson is the sole guy he can hang his hat on...and Michael Jackson was a rotational player before rumph got here. This year is a big year for him considering these will all be "his guys" im very interested in watching the development ...just like you. We have some raw kids at cb but alot of talent and length.

I honestly think we should dive back in the portal for a grad transfer cb

This is a lie and you know it. To say he can only hang his hat on MJ is a lie. You better then this OG. Not sure why you personally hate Rumph so much but you gotta speak truth to power and leave the personal feelings out.

When did rumph become a "developer" though?.
When some of us kept pointing out he’s the worst recruiter in UM history. Same reason every time he gags on a recruit the same dimwits have to emphasize how bad Banda is.

Rumph must have fed his loyal group of CIS sycophants some strong draw leg soup because they will kill their own mommas before they allow anyone to criticize Rumph.
